Welcome To Herb's Website!
These are some of the first HTML pages I coded. I wrote them in Notepad, for the most part, shortly after 9/11. I had hosted them at different free sites but disliked the pop-ups and other advertisements that paid for the site, so I took them down. After a while I started using a program called "Easy Html" from Toni Arts.

"Let despots remember the day When our fathers with mighty endeavor Proclaimed as they marched to the fray That by their might and by their right It waves forever."

The cartoon above was found on the Internet but I couldn't find anyone to ask permission. So if you can show you have the rights to it and want me to take it down I will, but I REALLY like it and think it says it all.

The other one I received via e-mail but found a whole ton of them at Art Bell's Web Page

I had the idea when this first happened that I wanted to go down to the recruiters office and re-up, but I’m too old, so I’m giving blood and putting up this web page. Actually I'm not too old, but the requirement is that you have to be able to fulfill a total of 20 years by the time you turn 55. With the 3 years and 8 months I already have, this means I would have had to have done it when I was 38.

Those who have never served in the military may not understand the intensity of the attack we need to make. There are many who have a hard time reconciling being a Christian with fighting in a war. I plan to add some religious pages later, but I will explain this much: Jesus taught people as individuals, and the whole New Testament is for individual believers, who are also instructed to (I paraphrase) Fear God and Honor the King. If you don’t believe that, as an individual Christian you should fight in the armed forces, then find something else to do to help.

Giving blood is a great way! Give Money to the Red Cross or other relief organization.

Come to Herb's page and learn to sing patriotic songs. You may need to learn some. The words to some songs are very moving and powerful and should bring a tear to the eye.

Here in Colorado Springs, CO five local radio stations banded together and raised $517,000+! I’m proud of our people here! A New Orleans TV station raised $300,000+, so what I am saying is just do something.

Why Louis L’Amour? Because I feel his characters reflect the spirit of the men who helped found this great nation.

I plan to add a religious page, a page describing the discrimination the Irish faced in 1800's USA and maybe a Douglas Adams page and a Photo Album. For right now I will add links on my "Favorite Links" page to an on-line photo album I have...

I tested these pages on Internet Explorer 6 and Netscape 6. I wasn't happy with the way Netscape came out, but since it is not my default browser and I only installed it to test the pages, I may not be using it to its fullest potential. It wouldn't recognize the midi files and I downloaded the quicktime plug-in that i was instructed to and then they would not play in IE6.
Okay. So I'm still learning.

Please feel free to e-mail me,logan_sackett60@yahoo.com and I will respond when I can. I'm going to put up a guest book when I get time, but i'd like to hear what you think. I might even put it up on the site so the whole world can see what you have to say. I'm also open to constructive criticism.
